Solar energy- our future challenge

Updated: Nov 14, 2019

When you think about renewable or alternative energy, the first image which will usually come to your mind would be the large blue solar panels on rooftops. These solar panels or photovoltaic modules convert the sunlight into electricity. Being an environmental-friendly source of energy, it has become the backbone of renewable energy.

Even though the photovoltaic effect was discovered over 100 years ago, it wasn’t until the last decade that it became a common sight. In recent years, solar panels have gained widespread popularity and became a widely implemented way of producing home electricity.

Multiple solar cells combine to form one PV solar panel. The solar cells are made up of silicon, like semiconductors. These are constructed using a positive layer and a negative layer. These layers together create an electric field, similar to that in a battery.

The solar panels harness the energy from the sun directly in the form of light and convert this energy into electricity. Even though an average consumer might associate solar panels commonly with residential rooftop assemblies but they are available for a lot of applications including powering individual gadgets of limited capacity, vehicle batteries, and electronic devices.

Today with the rise of international sales platform we can easily purchase a solar system for a local need or other ideas. we can start with our garden and move on to other areas once we get the confidence. Without a doubt the vision of each house holding his autonomous electric system is reachable today more than ever.
